During the first classification of the Crus of St-Emilion in 1955, Château Pavie was classified B. Since 2012, they have gained ground and are now Premier Cru Classé A, which testifies to the quality of the wines and the seriousness of the domain. Château Pavie is distinguished by a great diversity of terroirs.
The annual production of Château Pavie amounts to 70,000 bottles. Aging in barrels for 18 to 32 months and 70% to 100% new wood depending on the vintage.
1978 is a very great vintage for the wines of Saint Emilion in the same way as 1975 or 2001.
The state of conservation of this bottle is very good, the cork has not moved.
Serving advice: This bottle is intended for lovers of old wines. The important matter present in the wines of this period will very probably generate deposits. You will therefore have to decant this wonder, by candlelight for purists.
