The white "Graves" wines, often produced on a majority basis of sauvignon blanc, are always very interesting. This La Louvière is no exception.
Young, this wine is often quite fat, lively, very fruity and woody in short, it is a fairly "easy" wine and accessible to all. But, as it ages, which it does particularly well, it loses the flattering exotic fruits for more spicy, woody, and candied citrus notes.
You probably start to know us by reading our descriptions (please tell us that we are not writing all these lines in vain), we prefer these wines after a few decades of evolution.
A little advice for tasting: The old white from Graves can be slightly "dusty" when at opening. No fear, a short passage in a carafe of ten minutes and you will be able to fully enjoy it.
