The great wine of Maison Roederer, was born in 1876, in order to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor's request was such that each year the best cuvée of the house was reserved for him. But this exceptional champagne also had to be packaged in a flat-bottomed crystal bottle. We then better understand the origin of its name, "Crystal", exalting its transparency and light.
This exceptional cuvée is produced exclusively in the "great years", based on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, blended to perfection.
The cuvée is refined, with an incomparable length in the mouth. The silky texture reveals aromas of fruit supported by mineral power, with notes of white fruit and citrus. It is a wine to keep, which can be kept for more than twenty years without losing its freshness and character.
Cristal 2008 benefits from 10 years of aging when it is marketed, a first! This Cristal 2008 is deep, intense and masterful!
A vintage classified among the "continental", that is to say dense and powerful because endowed with a great concentration. The cool temperatures of summer 2008 marked this vintage, giving it an incredible, intense and saline freshness.
