Ruinart is the oldest champagne house founded in 1729 in Reims. The house is now part of the LVMH group after having remained in the family for two centuries.
Sublime chalk pits serve as a cellar for this no less sublime house and are classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The cuvées are more focused on chardonnay, offering the champagnes a finely mineral character, with chalk notes associated with fruit and floral.
This Dom Ruinart is made from a blend of 84% Chardonnay and 16% Pinot Noir.
Tasting:
Nose: First fruity and delicate scents, then more opulence when the champagne warms up Palate: Nice balance with notes of red fruits, liquorice and citrus, good length Final: Persistent
