Here is what is written on the back label:
This champagne, from the great terroirs of Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay classified grand cru, is the expression of a "house" style which goes above all through perfectly worked vines.
The quality of the grapes, the precision of the blends and long aging in the cellar allow Egly-Ouriet to offer champagnes without filtration in the fairest Champagne expression.
70% Pinot Noir - 30% Chardonnay, 20% Aged in new oak barrels.
Otherwise, Egly-Ouriet Champagnes are one of those Champagne producers who have known how to renew themselves to offer magnificent wines. We had tasted these vintages in 2018. They were still clearly too young for us and required a passage in a carafe (yes, do not hesitate to decant the champagnes that are too impetuous).
Today with a few additional years of aging, the structure has been further refined and this grand cru expresses itself perfectly.
Here you have a bottle of Champagne that competes without fear with the greatest cuvées, for half the price, it would be a sad not to try it.
