The "Belle Epoque - Fleur de Champagne - Blanc de Blancs" cuvée is the most exclusive from the Perrier-Jouet house, created in 1993 with this bottle.
This 100% chardonnay cuvée aimed at going back to the original style of the Perrier-Jouet maison. It was therefore decided to produce this cuvée with the two most beautiful plots of the house located in Cramant. These “Bourons-Leroy” and “Bourons du Midi” grand cru plots are among the most beautiful terroirs of Champagne.
This cuvée was produced at only 12,000 bottles! Where the total production for the classic Belle Epoque cuvée is around 120,000 bottles per year.
This bottle, disgorged in 1999 and dosed at 8g / l, is one of the greatest successes of 1993, which is not a legendary vintage, ok. It largely reaches the quality level of the benchmark, the Cristal cuvée.
Notes of citrus jam, peach, brioche and yellow flowers will create an unforgettable moment.
Wuat's opinion: When we discovered it in the cellar of a great Champagne lover, we thought it was a rosé cuvée. But what a great surprise to discover this extremely rare 1993 blanc de blancs! The color, level and excellent storage conditions of this bottle suggest an unforgettable tasting.
Initially intended for the American market, this bottle has never crossed the Atlantic for obscure reasons, good for us isn't it ? It is still very interesting to read the "opening instructions" written on the back label.
