While the Premier Cru appellation systematically appears on Burgundy bottles today, this has not always been the case. This Cuvée Brunet, named to honor a family of notables from Beaune, comes from a blend of three "climats" located in the Beaune 1er cru appellation. Beaune Bressandes, Bas de Teurons and Beaune les cent-vignes.
Every year, on the third Sunday in November, the famous "candlelight" auction of the great wines of the Hospices Estate takes place, built up over the centuries thanks to generous donations.
This wine, acquired for Les Amis du Marché aux Vins during the 1983 harvest of Hospices de Beaune wines, was bottled by SDV in Beaune.
