A very typical Médoc wine thanks to its high proportion of Cabernet sauvignon. Powerful, full-bodied and oaky tannic. It has an important aging potential.
We are retranscribing here, by hand or rather with the keyboard, the text on the back label of this Camensac 1985.
"Haute-Médoc," National Jewel "with a justified reputation for being the cradle of the greatest red wines in the world. It owes this enviable reputation to the production of the small number of châteaux appearing in the severe official classification of great wines of Gironde from 1855 which has never been modified since. These prestigious wines, all Haut-Médoc with one exception, universally extended the glory of Bordeaux wines. The Château de Camensac is privileged to belong to this elite. It is planted with noble traditional grape varieties and gives a wine full of sap, generous without excess of power, tender and velvety, delicately nuanced and of an extreme distinction. Over the years it develops a bouquet of rare perfection. The winemaking and aging are the subject of the most attentive care, in a pious respect for tradition, nothing is neglected to ensure that the natural qualities of this cru flourish.
