CHATEAU PICHON-LONGUEVILLE BARON 1991 - PAUILLAC 2nd Grand Cru Classé in 1855

About Château Pichon Baron:

The Pichon Baron domain covers 73 ha of excellent quality gravelly soils which nourish in a balanced way the different varieties of vine stocks whose average age is 35 years.

A selection of the oldest vines is dedicated to the production of Pichon Baron, the great wine of the house, whose number of bottles is limited.

About the cuvée:

The 1991 vintage of Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a complex and elegant wine, made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%), Merlot (22%), and Cabernet Franc (6%). It is considered one of the greatest vintages of the appellation, with a solid tannic structure and a long finish. The nose reveals notes of black fruits, spices and tobacco, while the palate is deep and balanced.

About the vintage 1991:

The 1991 vintage was marked by a difficult growing season with a late harvest. Despite this, the wines of the Pauillac appellation, including Château Pichon Longueville Baron, were able to express their full potential thanks to careful winemaking techniques. This wine can be enjoyed now, but also has great aging potential. It is a perfect choice for wine enthusiasts looking for an exceptional experience.
