La Conseillante 2000 - Pomerol
The formidable Pomerol in its 2000 vintage, finally ready to be tasted today or to wait a few decades depending on your tastes.
The quality of the wines of the Conseillante no longer needs to be presented. This chateau is undoubtedly one of the five best in the Pomerol appellation.
This wine is part of the "with them we are never disappointed" club. The style is very pure, velvety and silky, over time the aromas evolve towards truffle, violet and mocha.
Like the nearby Château La Violette, this Pomerol obtains notes of violet as it ages. This particularity which inspired the color of the capsule since 1871.
Tasting tip: Overall, 2000 is a fantastic vintage for the Bordeaux vineyards. La Conseillante with her 96 points is a magnificent example. Open it at least 3 hours before tasting or place it in a carafe for an hour.
