The formidable Pomerol in its 2001 vintage, finally ready to be tasted today or to wait without difficulty for a few more years depending on your tastes.
The quality of the wines of the Conseillante no longer needs to be presented. This chateau is undoubtedly one of the five best in the Pomerol appellation.
This wine is part of the "with them we are never disappointed" club. The style is very pure, velvety and silky, over time the aromas evolve towards truffle, violet and mocha.
Like the nearby Château La Violette, this Pomerol obtains notes of violet as it ages. This particularity which inspired the color of the capsule since 1871.
Tasting advice: It is not easy for the 2001 vintage to find its place after the grandiose 2000. And yet it has its own style, a little more "rustic" with very firm tannins but fortunately softened by two decades of aging. A passage in a carafe will do him the greatest good.
