CHATEAU PHELAN-SEGUR 1979 - SAINT-ESTEPHE
It is the great wine of Château Phélan-Ségur, the two other wines of the property being Frank Phélan or La Croix Bonis. The estate covers 70 ha in Saint-Estèphe.
A few years ago, the estate belonged to the Gardiniers, who also own the famous luxury restaurant-hotel Château Les Crayères in Reims. But they sold the Phélan-Ségur estate to Belgian Philippe Van de Vyvere in order to devote fully to their hotel / restaurant business.
The wines of Château Phélan-Ségur stand out for their elegance and finesse, precise wines that reveal the purity of the fruit, the correct structure and silky tannins. These are wines made for a long aging period, of the order of several decades.
Enjoy this Phélan-Ségur 1979, which is already a few years old and is now ready to drink.
