Saint-Joseph 1995 - Alain Graillot
12.5% Alc vol
Label: Very beautiful, slightly stained
Overall condition: Very good
Ah the Alain Graillot estate, finally we can offer you some. Well there is only one bottle at the moment so we're not going to get too excited either. It must be said that it is not easy to find old vintages from this cuvée. On the one hand, because the estate's first vintage dates from 1985 and on the other hand because the rare bottles of Saint-Joseph are drunk!
Domaine Graillot operates only 1.5 ha in Saint-Joseph, with low yields, without herbicides or pesticides for a long time. Production is therefore very limited, rarely exceeding 20,000 bottles per year.
This Saint-Joseph, vinified in full harvest, thus offers a beautiful tannic structure, the 1995 vintage was a great success for this estate. This bottle should give you great satisfaction after a short decanting, of course.
Opinion of WUAT: We are fans of this winemaker, the quality is very consistent, even for difficult vintages. Do not wait too long to take it because it is one of the bottles on our tasting list.
