Presentation of the cuvée:
Mazoyères-Chambertin 2005 is produced on a 0.65 hectare plot on clay-limestone soil by 50-year-old vines. This cuvée is considered one of the rarest and most prestigious of Taupenot-Merme. This Pinot Noir is aged in oak barrels for 12 months and racked without filtration.

The Mazoyères-Chambertin 2005 cuvée is a powerful and complex wine, with an intense dark red color. The nose is complex and intense, with aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate, the wine is ample and structured, with present but elegant tannins. The 2005 vintage is considered a great vintage in Burgundy, with ideal climatic conditions for the ripening of the grapes.
