This Scottish whiskey is inspired by the traditional style of Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys.
As initially distilled on the Isle of Mull, master distiller Ian MacMillan started in 1996 for the first time with the Ledaig distillation, since the opening of the distilleries in the 90s.
The result is a wonderfully smoked whiskey, balanced between sweet and floral aromas, the richness of sea salt and the warmth of smoke. Barley malt dried with peat is mixed with water from the private source of the Tobermory distillery on the Wild Isle of Mull.
The finish in Spanish sherry barrels completes the maturation. This single malt is peaty, robust and lively with a spicy smoke, floral aromas of seaside plants and a hint of liquorice and cloves.
A taste that remains etched in memory.
