Château Fombrauge 2015 - Saint-Emilion
89/100 RP
Château Fombrauge has been owned by Bernard Magrez since 1999, as have Château Pape Clément and Château La Tour Carnet.
Its name is derived from "Fons brogiera" which means "spring surrounded by heather and bushes".
The vines are planted over an area of 60 hectares.
Château Fombrauge is renowned worldwide for its tannic and powerful wines with excellent aging potential.
This vintage is no exception to the rule. When tasting, this Fombrauge 2015 is dense, we can feel a good maturity of the grape, dried blackberry and candied plum on the nose. The wood gives it charm and the Merlot gives it suavity. A very gourmet wine, to be fully appreciated!
Advice from the Wuat team: Be careful not to drop it on your foot, the bottle is extremely heavy, like many B. Magrez vintages.
