Collection: Morey-Saint-Denis
Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, between Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, the Morey-St-Denis appellation is renowned for its Pinot Noir red wines, often balanced between the power of Gevrey and the finesse of Chambolle. The clay-limestone soils rich in marl bring structure and elegance to the wines, with aromas of red and black fruits, spices and sometimes undergrowth.
With an area of 148 hectares, Morey-St-Denis is divided into three classifications:
-
Villages (95 ha) : representative, balanced and often affordable wines.
-
Premiers Crus (47 ha) : 20 climates such as Les Chaffots or Les Millandes, offering complex wines with good ageing potential.
-
Grands Crus (21 ha) : 5 prestigious climates such as Clos de Tart, Clos des Lambrays and Clos Saint-Denis, world-renowned for their depth and longevity.
Annual production is around 600,000 bottles, produced by renowned estates such as Dujac, Ponsot, Clos de Tart and Clos des Lambrays.
