The white wines of the Loire Valley, made from iconic grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Melon de Bourgogne, are renowned for their freshness, elegance and diversity. From the mineral and citrusy Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé to the rich and complex Vouvray and Savennières, they perfectly express their varied terroirs. The Loire Valley produces lively and balanced whites, ideal for accompanying fish, seafood and goat cheese.

Some estates are recognized worldwide for their scholarly work, such as Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau, whose Silex vintage must surely ring a bell... Nicolas Joly, with his fabulous work on the biodynamic Clos de la Coulée de Serrant, is also from this region, as is the Huet estate, which produces immortal Vouvrays.
