Collection: Gigondas
South of the Rhône, on 1,230 ha, Gigondas mainly produces generous and structured reds (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) aged in barrels, with notes of black fruits, spices and garrigue. But also some rare floral and relatively easy-drinking white wines.
The overall quality of Gigondas is quite variable, as the volumes produced are so large. But some producers like Saint-Cosme or Guigal produce nuggets.
Ideal wines for grilled meats which will often require a few years of aging.
