Domaine Alain Jeanniard can be described as "Classic-modern". Here everything is done to allow the grapes to best express the characteristics of the terroir.
Spread over only 4 hectares, this estate practices sustainable farming. No herbicides or pesticides. Regular plowing, green harvesting, CO2 limited to the strict minimum and very light aging with only 25% new barrels produce a wine that is as natural as possible.
Jeanniard wines are powerful, straight, the tannins are present and hard on young wines. These bottles are made to age at least 10 years and to be perfect after 15 to 20 years.
The 80-year-old vines of Morey-Saint-Denis provide complexity and elegance to Chenevery.
WUAT's opinion : Tasted in 2018 without having had the good idea of decanting it with the 2005, the wine still seemed a little too young. In a short time the wine opened up to offer us spicy, mineral and animal notes. But an opening of more than two hours is necessary. A wine aimed at a discerning audience.
