About the vintage:
The great vintage is produced on the best terroirs of the château on soil types: Mindel gravel terraces, sandy-clay subsoil. In good years, around 250,000 bottles are produced.
The extremely consistent quality of its wines makes it one of the Bordeaux Châteaux whose price has been most appreciated over the last twenty years.
Bottles purchased as primeur and kept in their original wooden cases.
About the 1996 vintage:
A vintage with capricious and surprising seasons. A particularly warm winter, a freezing spring, a very hot and humid summer and a lot of rainfall in September. In short, everything could have ended badly. But the expertise of the Château made it possible to extract the best quality from the grapes and particularly from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is one of the greatest successes of the Médoc, rated 90 RP points.
