"Les Chalasses Marnes Bleues 2010" by Jean-François Ganevat is a legendary vintage highlighting the nobility of Savagnin, the emblematic grape variety of the Jura. Produced from old vines planted on a unique terroir of blue marl, this natural wine, vinified and aged for a long time without sulfur, expresses an exceptional purity and minerality.

Jean-François Ganevat , a visionary winemaker from the Jura, perpetuates a 13-generation family tradition by combining ancestral know-how and biodynamic viticulture. Located in La Combe, the Ganevat estate stands out for its minimalist approach and respect for the terroirs. Vintages such as "Les Chalasses Marnes Bleues" embody the essence of the Jura, with natural wines of rare precision and depth, coveted by wine lovers around the world.

The 2010 vintage:

The 2010 vintage in the Jura offered ideal conditions: a cool spring and a balanced summer allowed a slow and uniform maturation of the grapes. The wines from this year are distinguished by their freshness, concentration and longevity, offering a remarkable expression of Savagnin.

Technical characteristics:

  • Grape variety : 100% Savagnin from an old selection called "Savagnin Vert"
  • Vinification : Natural fermentation, long aging in old demi-muids topped up for two years, indigenous yeasts, no added sulfur, without fining or filtration.
  • Tasting : Bright golden color. Complex nose of candied citrus fruits, dried fruits, sweet spices and smoky notes. Full and mineral palate, with a saline and persistent finish.
  • Condition : Perfect condition.
  • Cellar potential : 50 years and more.

Food and wine pairings:

Ideal with Bresse poultry with morels, old comté cheese or white truffle risotto. Also sublime with exotic dishes or curry-based dishes.
