The Cuvée
The Moët & Chandon "Grand Vintage" range offers only champagnes from the best vintages of the house's wine library. These wines, recently disgorged, ensure ideal conservation quality.
Each Grand Vintage reflects a unique interpretation of the year, and the 1999 vintage, marked by generous climatic conditions, gave birth to a wine that was both ample and refined. This champagne, the house's 66th vintage, benefited from more than eight years of aging on lees before its disgorgement in April 2008.
The House of Moët & Chandon
With nearly three centuries of history, Moët & Chandon is a pillar of the Champagne tradition. The house is known for its prestigious production, which combines innovation and respect for the terroirs. Each Grand Vintage is a testament to Moët's expertise, highlighting the unique personality of each year.
Tasting notes
- Dress : Pale gold with green highlights. A fine and persistent foam.
- Nose : Complex aromas of dried fruits (apricots, almonds), enhanced with touches of toast, vanilla and pastry. A subtle note of lemony freshness completes the bouquet.
- Mouth : Round and elegant, with a beautiful structure and a balanced liveliness. Flavors of peach, brioche and toasted hazelnuts blossom, supported by a refined minerality. Long and fresh finish.
Food and wine pairings
The Grand Vintage 1999 goes wonderfully with:

- Main dishes : Truffled chicken, roast lobster, porcini mushroom risotto.
- Desserts : Thin pear tart, Breton shortbread with lemon cream.
