One of the most famous areas of Bandol with Gaussen!

The vines dominate the valley, up to 300m above sea level, not far from the sea. At this altitude, the nights are cool and the grapes ripen slowly.

The aging takes place in oak barrels for 18 months.

The winter of 1997 was mild and dry, suggesting a significant drought, but finally, good spring rains led to strong vegetation, enough to prepare the vines to face a scorching summer. In mid-September, the harvest produced perfectly ripe, thick-fleshed and perfectly healthy grapes.

When tasting, the nose is on black fruits, the mouth is fat in attack with a beautiful breadth, with fine and elegant tannins. As it ages, the wine rounds out and develops a superb aromatic complexity, always black fruits, with sweet notes of spices and a minty freshness.
