Chateau Talbot 2004 - Saint-Julien
4th Grand Cru Classé in 1855
Château Talbot is a 110 ha estate in one piece.
Talbot is one of the most famous vintages of the Médoc. For a century, it has remained a family affair. The estate is renowned for the consistency and quality of its vintages. While it can be round and flattering in its youth, it is also an excellent wine for laying down.
The estate produces three wines:
- Château Talbot: the estate's first wine, aged in barrels for fifteen months
- Le Connétable de Talbot: second wine from vines younger than the first wine, aged 12 months in barrels
- Le Caillou Blanc: an atypical white wine for the Médoc because it comes from Cordier's desire to replant white vines in Saint-Julien, it is aged in barrels for 12 months and then on lees for 9 months.
By filling out this form we ask ourselves if we have ever been truly disappointed by a Talbot. And the answer is no! Talbot is the taster's lifeline, the wine that will please everyone in all circumstances. All Bordeaux lovers, or rather wine lovers, must have at least one in their cellar, ready to be tasted.
2004 is a vintage often described as a "classic" in Bordeaux, characterized by beautiful grape maturity and natural freshness. The wines produced this year offer excellent value for money for lovers of ready-to-drink Bordeaux, while having enough structure to continue to evolve in the cellar.
