Arbois 2009 Trousseau Magnum - Domaine Rolet

Created in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, the Rolet estate is one of the jewels of the Jura vineyards. Two generations succeeded one another at the head of the estate before they handed over to three families passionate about wine and the Jura, including a family of Burgundy winegrowers.

The wines of Domaine Rolet express all the richness of the Jura terroir through a wide range of local grape varieties (Chardonnay and Savagnin for the whites, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot noir for the reds) and several appellations: Arbois, Côtes du Jura, L'Etoile and Château-Chalon.

This vintage comes from 100% destemmed Trousseau. Indigenous yeasts are used and malolactic fermentation is carried out.

Aged for 9 months, half in stainless steel vats and the other half in barrels.

The vines for this vintage are planted in the communes of Montigny-les-Arsures on the hillsides in "Chagnon" and "Leuvrin" as well as in Arbois in the place called "Montesserin".

The soils are rich in iridescent marl and chalk clay, the ideal lands for Trousseau.
