Domaine Michel Chapoutier has vines on the most beautiful terroirs of the Rhone Valley. And much more today thanks to its properties in the new world and throughout the French vineyard. The 350 hectares of vines have been entirely treated biodynamically since 1999.

2007 is a wonderful vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, more successful than the wines from the northern Rhone Valley.

This cuvée Barbe Rac 100% Grenache comes from vines over 90 years old in Biodynamics. Grenache being particularly sensitive to oxidation, this wine is vinified and aged in closed concrete vats. The result is a wine with notes of sweet spices, chocolate, and aromatic herbs. The mouth is fleshy, ample and very dense. You can keep this bottle for over 50 years without difficulty. A very great Châteauneuf!
