Cantenac-Brown 2008 - Margaux
Château Cantenac-Brown was founded over 200 years ago by a Scotsman, John-Lewis Brown.
Its taste for excellence allows it to position itself among the greatest vintages: 3rd grand cru classé 1855
The estate's emblem attests to its Scottish ancestry, as does its stunning Tudor-style castle.
The year 2008 was a fairly cool and rainy year at the beginning of the season. But the very beautiful Indian summer and the perfect sanitary conditions from mid-September allowed us to harvest ripe grapes with good acidity. The 2008s offer a very classic style with great aging potential.
Tasting notes:
Dress: Beautiful dark and very dense color.
Nose: Blackberry and black cherry dominate followed by notes of roasted coffee and smoke.
Palate: Harmonious, coated and silky. The firm tannins give it significant aging potential.
