Chambolle-Musigny 1986 - Guy Coquard
Chambolle-Musigny

Domaine Guy Coquard, located in Morey-Saint-Denis, produces very fine wines from the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Nuits (Clos Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin, etc.)
The exploitation of the estate under the name Guy Coquard ended due to the lack of a successor within the family in 2004. Since then, the estate's vines have been exploited by the excellent Arlaud estate.
Wuat's Review: We tasted a generic 1994 Burgundy from Domaine Coquard as we were unfamiliar with the style of this house. We were pleasantly surprised by its staying power on a weak "vintage".
It's a safe bet that this "Chambolle" (it always feels a little nice to say "Chambolle-Musigny", probably a professional deformation) from 1986 is much superior in terms of quality. A potentially very nice surprise then.
