Chambolle-Musigny 2011 Combe D'Orveaux - Domaine Laurent
Domaine Laurent may not mean anything to you? On the other hand, you probably know Dominique Laurent and his "Haute-Couture" business?
Domaine Laurent Père et Fils is a small structure created by Dominique Laurent and his son Jean in which they are producers and breeders.
Most of the vines they cultivate are rented from a former winemaker from Vosne-Romanée, from the Haegelen-Jayer estate, and are ideally located. No purchase of grapes.
They work according to the principles of organic farming, which means taking maximum risks in the cellar! They like to vinify from undestemmed grapes and age their wines without sulfur, ageing for a long time in new wood a rich and concentrated material, obtained from very low yields. Their reds are deep and solid.
The Combe d'Orveau takes its name from its particularly privileged location. Positioned just above the Musigny grand cru (no less), the Orveau or "Vaux d'Or" faces south, south-east. Its soils are stony and rich in limestone.
