History of the Heidsieck & Co Monopole house
Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, the Heidsieck & Co Monopole house is one of the oldest in Champagne. Very quickly recognized for its exceptional vintages, it was able to seduce the European royal and imperial courts, becoming the official supplier to the Russian court. Today integrated into the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group, it continues to produce emblematic vintages, like the Diamant Bleu , which embodies luxury and refinement.
Presentation of the Diamant Bleu vintage
The Diamant Bleu vintage is named after the rarest diamond in the world. Created to enhance exceptional moments, it is distinguished by an iconic bottle with a precious silhouette and a design that evokes jewelry. Developed only during remarkable vintages, it is now produced under the aegis of the Vranken house.
The 1989 vintage in Champagne
1989 is considered exceptional in Champagne. The climatic conditions were particularly favorable, with a hot and sunny summer that allowed optimal ripeness of the grapes. The harvest, early that year, offered berries rich in sugar and flavors, while retaining a beautiful acidity. This vintage is recognized for its generous, well-structured champagnes with great aromatic complexity, ideal for prolonged aging.
