Château Ausone is one of the most legendary estates in Bordeaux. Located on the right bank of the Garonne, in Saint-Émilion, it is classified 1er grand cru classé A. Its history dates back to Roman times, but it was in the 18th century that the estate began to produce world-renowned wines. Today, it is run by the Vauthier family, who took over the reins of the estate in 1997.

The Ausone cuvée is considered one of the greatest wines of Saint-Émilion, and perhaps even of all of Bordeaux. It is an exceptional wine, produced in very small quantities (around 20,000 bottles per year), from a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
