Chateau de Sales 1989 – Pomerol

History of the House

Château de Sales is one of the historic estates of Pomerol, with a family history dating back over five centuries. Located at the northwestern edge of the appellation, it is distinguished by its imposing 17th-century château and 47 hectares of vines, making it the largest estate in Pomerol. The vineyard is mainly planted with Merlot, with a minority presence of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Château de Sales produces refined and accessible wines, renowned for their elegance and ability to age well.

Presentation of the Cuvée

The wines of Château de Sales offer a delicate and elegant interpretation of the Pomerol appellation. Vinified with care and aged in oak barrels, they develop subtle aromas of red fruits, sweet spices and undergrowth. With a silky texture and balanced acidity, the wines of this estate favor elegance over power, seducing amateurs and connoisseurs.
