Château Giscours 1979 - Margaux Grand Cru Classé in 1855
This is the first wine of Château Giscours. It combines delicacy and finesse to offer you the elegance of a great Margaux. Very consistent, Château Giscours has a gravelly terroir and offers wines that are generally slightly richer and more powerful than many other Margaux properties.
Blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes: Plum and stone fruit, damp tobacco and lovely Margaux fragrance on the nose. Medium concentration, classic and harmonious style. This 1979 has aged particularly well and will make a fantastic wine for a blind tasting or a 1979 anniversary.
This bottle will require a prior opening period of at least 30 minutes, if possible in a decanter.
