History of Château La Violette
Château La Violette, located on the prestigious Pomerol plateau, is one of the most confidential jewels of the appellation with only 4,000 to 5,000 bottles per year! Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, this estate has acquired a reputation for excellence thanks to its exceptional terroir composed of clay and gravel soils rich in iron, ideal for growing Merlot. Relaunched by Catherine Péré-Vergé in 2006, La Violette is today synonymous with elegance, rarity and intensity, producing wines sought after by amateurs and collectors.

Presentation of the Pomerol appellation
Pomerol, located on the right bank of the Dordogne, is the smallest of the great Bordeaux appellations but also one of the most prestigious. Known for its clay-limestone soils and its king grape variety, Merlot, it produces wines of remarkable finesse, often described as sensual and opulent. Without an official classification, the appellation is home to icons such as Petrus, Le Pin, and of course La Violette, which contribute to its worldwide fame.
