About the vintage: 1993 was a very complicated vintage for Pauillac wines. The mild spring led to early budburst, mainly of the Merlots. This was followed by a rainy summer, a hot and sunny August and a very rainy September and harvest. Needless to say, the less good winemakers obtained diluted and insipid wines. Fortunately, you are here at Latour, which is not in this situation. The result is surprisingly good, the tannins are very present although rustic. A beautiful wine to celebrate a birthday.

Satisfactory result despite the difficult climatic conditions. Complex wine, developing aromas of prunes and candied fruits, with a hint of Havana. On the palate, the wine bursts with freshness and fruit. Without being a monster of concentration, it is a balanced wine, with a round and silky structure and a surprisingly persistent finish.
