Presentation of the Tardieu house - Laurent
The Tardieu - Laurent house was born in 1996 from the cooperation between Michel Tardieu, a lover of Rhone wines, and Dominique Laurent, a quality merchant producing great Burgundy wines. Today, the Laurent-Tardieu house offers a wide range of the best vintages from the entire Rhone Valley, in white and red, and some wines from the south of France, including Bandol.
Presentation of the vintage
Cuvée resulting from a blend giving pride of place to Grenache which makes up 80% of the blend. The remaining 20% comes from Syrah and Mourvèdre. Aged for between 10 and 24 months depending on the vintage. Unfortunately we do not have any information on the exact specificities of the 2000 vintage.
Tasting notes:
Bottle tasted in August 2022 in the Vieilles Vignes version, probably a little "richer" than this "Classique" vintage. An extremely pleasant wine, with sweet notes of figs, blackberry jam and garrigue. We were very pleasantly surprised on the palate by the concentration of this 2000 vintage, which is nevertheless renowned for its low concentration in Southern Rhône wines.
A wine to enjoy on its own or why not to "taste" it with a walnut or red fruit tart for example.
