Presentation of the Tardieu house - Laurent
The Tardieu - Laurent house was born in 1996 from the cooperation between Michel Tardieu, a lover of Rhone wines, and Dominique Laurent, a quality merchant producing great Burgundy wines. Today, the Laurent-Tardieu house offers a wide range of the best vintages from the entire Rhone Valley, in white and red, and some wines from the south of France, including Bandol.
Presentation of the old vine vintage
Cuvée resulting from a blend giving pride of place to the most beautiful and oldest vines (40 years and over) of Grenache which make up 90% of the blend, the remaining 10% being composed of the many other grape varieties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault etc.)
Tasting notes:
Bottle tasted in August 2022. An extremely pleasant wine, with sweet notes of figs, blackberry jam and garrigue. We were very pleasantly surprised on the palate by the concentration of this 2000 vintage, which is nevertheless renowned for its low concentration in Southern Rhône wines.
A wine to enjoy on its own or why not to "taste" it with a walnut or red fruit tart for example.
