Clos de la Bousse d'Or 2003 Monopole - Volnay 1er cru - Pousse D'Or

This monopoly of Volnay 1er cru, located to the south of the village, is produced by wonderful vines cultivated without pesticides or insecticides and the only contribution, manure, is of natural origin. The land is worked, without weedkiller, to maintain the aeration and flexibility of the soil.

After the manual harvest, the vinification is gentle and respectful of the only grape variety used to produce the estate's premier red wines: Pinot Noir.

The aging on lees takes place for 15 to 18 months in oak barrels. All handling is done by gravity on six different levels.

A slight deposit may occur since the wines are generally neither fined nor filtered.

Tasting advice: Serve in large glasses after leaving it in a carafe for at least an hour.
