The Château Clos des Jacobins dates back to the 17th century. The name "Jacobins" comes from the Benedictine monks established there who welcomed pilgrims on the road to Santiago de Compostela, "Jacobins" thus refers to Santiago de Compostela.
Located at the entrance to the medieval city of Saint-Emilion, it has a vineyard of 8.5 hectares in one piece.
About the vintage:
This 1990 vintage was produced during the great era of Cordier. Famous Bordeaux merchants who then had some of the most beautiful Bordeaux properties. These bottles in excellent condition were thus produced with all the care of the Cordiers. This 1990 vintage received the very fine score of 86 Parker points.
