Clos-St-Denis 1984 - Philippe Charlopin-Parizot
Clos-Saint-Denis

Domaine Charlopin has existed "only" since 1977. At that time it was called Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot and had only 1.5 ha of vines. Today the estate is a must in Burgundy and has more than 25 ha.
The Charlopin estate has always produced powerful, concentrated wines, aged for a long time in barrels and therefore perfectly suited to long-term storage.
Although it is not the most famous appellation of Côte de Nuits, with Morey-St-Denis we are still in the very beautiful districts. The village, which has many premier crus and grands crus, combines the power and elegance of its respective neighbors Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée.
Clos-Saint-Denis, with its 6.42 ha, is the smallest of the Clos, classified as Grand Cru, of Morey-Saint-Denis.
