Presentation of the Maratray-Dubreuil Estate

Domaine Maratray-Dubreuil is located in Ladoix-Serrigny, in Burgundy, in the north of the Côte de Beaune. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, it is now managed by François Maratray-Dubreuil. The estate covers 19 hectares and produces prestigious appellations, with expertise that combines tradition and modernity.

Presentation of the Cuvée and the Appellation

"Les Bressandes" is a large lieu-dit facing south-east and located in the heart of the Cortons, halfway up the hillside. The appellation covers approximately 16 hectares and produces exclusively red wines from Pinot Noir. It is one of the most renowned lieux-dits. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soil, on crumbled rock with red and stony soil.

This vintage was vinified with manually sorted grapes, followed by traditional fermentation and aging in oak barrels (50% new) for 18 months. It offers an intense aromatic palette, between red fruits, spices and tertiary notes.

Presentation of the 1992 Vintage and tasting notes:

The year 1992 in Burgundy was marked by a cool climate and frequent rainfall. The selection of plots and meticulous work in the cellar made it possible to produce supple and elegant wines, to be drunk young. However, some well-preserved vintages, like this one, hold some nice surprises after more than 30 years .

Despite a vintage reputed to be weaker, this wine demonstrated surprising youth and concentration during a tasting in December 2024. The cork, in perfect condition, testifies to the excellent conservation in a humid cellar.
