Domaine Maratray-Dubreuil is an iconic family estate located in Ladoix-Serrigny, Burgundy. The estate operates around fifteen hectares spread across prestigious appellations such as Ladoix, Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, and especially the grands crus of Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. Renowned for its traditional know-how and meticulous winemaking, the estate produces wines that combine finesse, elegance and exceptional aging potential. Each vintage reflects the unique terroir of the famous Burgundy hillsides.

Tasting notes:

Tasted in January 2025, this Corton-Charlemagne 1999 proved to be an incredibly young wine, perfectly preserved.

• Nose: Expressive and floral, dominated by aromas of jasmine and mimosa.
• Palate: Lively, saline and full of tension. Remarkable freshness without any trace of oxidation.
• Finish: Generous, with buttery notes of brioche and pastry cream, which complete a tasting of great finesse.

A magnificent white wine that delighted all the guests with its perfect balance between freshness and richness. An exceptional price-pleasure ratio for a great Burgundy vintage.

Tasting tips:

• Serving temperature: 12 to 14°C.
• Food and wine pairings: This Corton-Charlemagne will pair perfectly with refined dishes such as roast turbot, scallops pan-fried in lemon butter, or grilled lobster. It will also pair wonderfully with mature cheeses such as a 36-month Comté.

Bottle condition:

• Level: Perfect.
• Color: Perfect, with no signs of fading.
• Label: Very worn, consequence of storage in a very humid cellar.
• Capsule: Stained, but intact.
• Overall condition: Very good condition for a wine of this age.
