Corton GC Old Vines 2014 - Ludovic Belin
Corton GC Old Vines 2014 - Ludovic Belin
Corton

The Belin estate has existed since 1999. Starting from a small plot of only 0.3 HA, this young winemaker works hard to now offer a lovely range of Côte de Beaune wines from the 7 HA that make up the vineyard.
This vintage "Corton Vieilles Vignes" is today called Corton Vieilles Vignes les Bressandes.
WUAT's opinion: Let's be honest, we have a lot of difficulty giving credit to the "Grand cru" label affixed to Corton bottles. The immense terroir of Corton cannot provide a grand cru quality for all producers, so each vintage should be considered without taking this label into account. That being said, we tasted this vintage in June 2020 with the 2013 vintage, the wine is very well made, balanced (not too much wood and good concentration), the tannins are already round after two hours in a carafe. It will be able to wait ten years without any problems.
If you're looking to explore Burgundies without breaking the bank, this wine offers excellent value for money. It'll pair perfectly with eggplant parmesan or a summer barbecue.
