Cos d'Estournel 2012 - Saint-Estèphe
2nd Grand Cru Classé 1855
The average age of the vines is 40 years.
A fascinating, voluptuous and opulent wine. A magnificent wine to taste.
The estate is also known for its second wine, the Pagodes de Cos, but also its Cos d'Estournel Blanc , since 2005, produced in very small quantities.
Tasting advice: decant approximately 3 hours before tasting. Serving temperature: 17 to 18 degrees
The 2012 vintage is a great success at Cos, very tannic, it is a great wine for laying down that will require about 10 years of waiting to begin to open up on beautiful ripe black fruits, wood and spices. As it ages it will take on the very special toasted and cocoa notes that make Cos inimitable. Bottle available individually or by the case.
