Attention nugget!
Albert Dervieux-Thaize was the mayor of Ampuis for many years and an influential figure who greatly helped to develop the reputation of the region's wines. In the early 1970s, he was the only producer to have bottles of vintages such as 1929 and 1947, a winemaker with a rare sense of historical perspective.
This estate has not existed since 1989. It was at this time that part of the vineyard passed into the hands of Mr. Dervieux-Thaize's son-in-law, a certain René Rostaing. The Rostaing estate, today considered one of the best in the Côte-Rôtie appellation, brought together the entire Dervieux-Chaize vineyard in 1993.
This extremely rare bottle still has significant aging potential and is intended for collectors and connoisseurs.
