Domaine de Chevalier 1992 Pessac-Léognan Red
The Domaine de Chevalier is, like Talbot or Beychevelle, very consistent. For us, it is one of the best quality - pleasure / price ratios in Pessac-Léognan, not to mention the classified growths of Bordeaux. So if you don't know it, go for it!
The 1992 vintage in Bordeaux: You don't choose your vintage
1992 is really not a good vintage for Bordeaux wines. As is often the case in the event of a hard blow, it is wise to fall back on the best estates and on the wines of Graves. This Domaine de Chevalier obtains an honest 85 Parker points, with an average concentration it will offer you a pleasant wine with typical notes of cedar, blackcurrant and morello cherry.
Exceptional provenance: These bottles come from a cellar of a great Swiss wine enthusiast and collector. We have acquired the complete collection containing more than 200 bottles of mainly French and Italian wines. The bottles have all been preserved following their purchase en primeur or shortly after their marketing on site, in a natural cellar buried under a 16th century convent. A damp cellar, which is why some labels are very worn. The levels are generally excellent or perfect and the most "fragile" bottles testify to conservation in total darkness for more than 30 years!
