Domaine de Chevalier 2012:
Very intense color.
Generous nose of red and black fruits and slightly peppery spices. Minty mineral notes accentuate the freshness.
Smooth, fruity, fresh and broad attack. Full and fleshy mid-palate giving off an intense fruity flavor. The tannins, structuring, are ripe and quite supple in nature. They envelop the wine from the beginning to the end of the tasting without hiding the finesse and complexity. The acidity is everywhere, without exceeding. It enhances the flavors, excites the taste buds and avoids any heaviness. Very beautiful concentrated and racy finish.
As you have certainly understood, at WUAT we like wines that have good aging potential and are of consistent quality.
The Domaine de Chevalier is, like Talbot or Beychevelle, very consistent. For us, it is one of the best value for money in Pessac-Leognan, not to mention the classified growths of Bordeaux. So if you don't know it, go for it!
