The Grand Pontet property is located on the western plateau of Saint-Emilion, surrounded by three premier grands crus classés.

Château Grand Pontet has changed owners several times in recent decades:

In 1980, the trading company Barton&Guestier was sold to a family business headed by Sylvie Pourquet-Bécot.

The vineyard, then in one piece and 35 years old, covers 14 ha of predominantly limestone soil.

Very recently, in 2021, Château Grand-Pontet changed pavilion, bought by Domaines Clarence Dillon (Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion), allowing the expansion of Château Quintus (itself bringing together Tertre-Daugay in 2011 and L'Arrosée in 2013).

This Grand Pontet 2015 is elegant, fresh and has a lovely length.
