The Grand Veneur estate has only existed under this name since 1979. Until then, it was operated under the name of the Jaume family, winegrowers since 1826 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and still owners of the estate to this day.
The demand for wines from the Grand Veneur estate has exploded since 2010. The excellent ratings received from a certain American critic and several 100-point scores are no coincidence.
Aged for 16 months, 60% of which are in new and one-year-old oak barrels and 40% in concrete vats. This very great wine for laying down, with an almost black color, offers empyreumatic aromas of spices and dried herbs. A great Châteauneuf that you will need to taste quickly before it becomes inaccessible.
Like many Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you can keep it for many years without fear.
